One of the most famous TV presenters in the world Oprah Winfrey has announced about the ending of her show,”The Oprah Winfrey Show”. The statement was made by Tim Bennett, the head of Harpo Inc., the company having rights for the show. Namely, he thanked everybody who stayed along with the show all those years. Also he said that the last show will be on September 9, 2011, the day of the last 25th show’s season.

Meanwhile, as Oprah Winfrey says that she doesn’t say goodbye to her viewers. She just wants to put maximum effort into the project of the Discovery Communications channel, “The Oprah Winfrey Network“. It is going to be the joint project of the TV presenter and the channel.
According to personal Oprah’s statement the main reason for winding up the show is that she “loves it enough to know when it’s time to say good-bye”. Wisely enough.
Meanwhile, for now “The Oprah Winfrey Show” is the most popular TV show in the USA. It’s shot in Chicago and the company ABC transmits it across the country. Thanks to her show Oprah Winfrey was recognized as the most influential person in the show business in 2009 with her fortune making up to 2.7 billion dollars.
The American viewers first saw Winfrey’s show in 1984 when the budding TV presenter moved to Chicago from Tennessee. There she began her morning talk show which lately became “The Oprah Winfrey Show” and first version of which was screened on September 8, 1986.
To date, “The Oprah Winfrey Show” has broken all the records in the number of TV daytime broadcasts. Among the guests the viewers saw all the famous musicians, athletes, politicians and show business figures. At the same time, having no children herself Oprah has opened an orphanage academy for girls. And it’s only the tip of the iceberg in her charity activity.
