It is reported that Penelope Cruz and Javier Bardem are tying the knot in December. Lately, on “The Late Show with David Letterman” the actress was spotted wearing a blue sapphire engagement ring.

To date, Penelope is looking for a dress and is ecstatic to marry during the holiday season. It is known that her parents are conservative Catholics insisting on her having the official relationship with her long-term boyfriend. Meanwhile, according to an insider, Bardem is not that enthusiastic about such a soon wedding. However, Cruz is eager to make her parents satisfied.

Regarding the wedding dress, as both Penelope and Javier come from Spain, they want exactly a Spanish designer to make a wedding gown. It is rumored that the dress may be designed by the House of Balenciaga. The fashion house was founded by Cristobal Balenciaga, the Spanish designer. It is also known that exactly the House of Balenciaga designed a wedding dress for a good Penelope’s friend Salma Hayek when she married billionaire Francois-Henri Pinault.

Now the fashion house is headed by Nicolas Ghesquiere who will surely be excited to create a dream dress for Penelope Cruz.

The wedding rumors get even more interesting as earlier this year, particularly in summer, Cruz claimed she didn’t believe in marriage so she and Bardem could never tie the knot.
